As I approach the end of my time at UCI, I think about all the things I was not able to accomplish due to the craziness of college...like keeping this blog going. I also have not sewn as much as I used to. Or made cards, crochet or any of the hobby type things I once did. If anything, it inspires me to get back to it!
Just about a week left of my undergrad experience. I will try to post pictures of it, but first, I will begin by cataloging the things I will miss:
Bunnies and squirrels- there was something kinda cool about studying/napping in the park that is in the middle of campus and seeing the bunnies and squirrels race by. There was one time that it was a tiny baby bunny, lost and scared by the School of the Arts. It could have fit in the palm of my hand it was so little. Perhaps one day I will get a pet bunny...because they are sooo cute!

My Intro to MIS
So I decided to not only major in History, but to minor in Management (yeah, because they have a lot in common...geesh). I am currently taking a class during the first part of the Summer Session here at UCI called Intro. to MIS. MIS being Management Information Systems I call it, yet another class to show me how far behind I am compared to the kids I am in class with. I then discover...I am not as far behind as I thought! I know a thing or two. I use Facebook, I entertain myself by following people on Twitter (though I still don't know how to navigate it and have therefore dubbed myself a "tweetard")...and look...I have a blog :) So I will now endeavor to remain more current with my blog. I had given up, because I don't know how to make it pretty and make it so I could link to other people's blogs, but no more! I shall not let the information systems of today get the best of me!!!!
All this rant just to say that I am going to try to keep up with this blog now :)

The Freshmen 15
So as the myth goes, one (especially women) generally gains anywhere between 10-15 pounds during their freshman year in college. Well, I went to community college first, and didn't gain anything there. So I just assumed that it was mainly aimed at University Students. Except now that I am at a University, I am clearly not understanding the phenomenon. With the amount of hills and stairs around (and most campuses have them), how does one put on the weight? I know it happens, I have seen it happen...I just don't get how it happens. I thought, is it the junk food? No, I eat junk food and I didn't gain. Is it the alcohol? No, because I know people that do not drink that have gained more than the requisite 15 pounds!! Perhaps it is the ritual of stress eating. Another concept that I don't get (myself being a stress faster).
I will tell you one thing I have discovered, that quite frankly might be my undoing. There is a place called Panera on my way to school and they have this breakfast item called a Cinnamon Chip Scone. Oh goodness it is tasty. I had never had a scone before and do believe that it might become an addiction. In order to prevent that, I am only allowing myself one trip to Panera a week. Today was it for this week, which is probably why I am so happy!!

Back to School
Hello all
As for me and blogging, I am not sure exactly what to write on this. It seems however a better way (in lieu of a tremendous phone bill) to keep in contact with my friends that are not so close by. I suppose I could e-mail...but I could put more pictures on this.
Well, thus sayeth my first blog.
